Thunder by Karuna Chandrashekar

We sit on swing sets,

sand in our shoes
leaves swirling by.

The sky pulses-
a storm approaches.

You hold my hand,
tight, but smile as if

in a photograph
taken by a stranger.

Lovely... :)

The ending leaves room for mystery. :)

Every poem should have a little thing to wonder about afterwards. Good job.

Love the imagery in this poem. Keep up the good work! Check out my blog too if you'd like, it's not poetry centered, but it does have deep and thoughtful posts. Great for thought provoking discussions. :)

There does appear to be a whole story attached...goes to show that you don't need a lot of words to write something beautiful. Thank you.
