Dependent by Chris Major

In barely
six and a half
months it's just
'fix' to 'fix'.
Of course supply
'round here is
no problem.
Day and night
curled and motionless,
woken by withdrawal
or the shouts
and screams
which penetrate
thin walls.

Eventually hospital;
crying,
shaking,
cramps.
Being told
that i'm
"dependent",
"addicted",
"a little baby boy......"

I have liked this one so much that I have clicked on the side link to read all his poems published in Bolts of Silk so far. I notice that they are all equally strong, and if you don't mind me saying this, equally weakened by the final ellipsis, as if Chris wasn't sure of the approppriateness of his poem's endings.

I think that all of them except this one would improve a lot with a final full stop, indicating that whatever action has ended. In this one the ellipsis seems right as the poor boy's life is so uncertain.
